You can join Pilates classes across Barnsley with Sculpt Yoga & Pilates, led by Sally Akers. We run weekly sessions in Wombwell, Birdwell, Cudworth & Hoyland. Offering both morning and evening options to suit your schedule. Learn more.

Yes! Our Pilates classes are designed for all ages and abilities, including complete beginners. Sally guides you through safe, supportive movements to help you build strength, confidence, and flexibility at your own pace.

Please bring your own mat and water. We also use props such as bands, blocks, and balls during sessions, these are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Comfortable clothing and bare feet or grip socks are recommended.

Each Pilates class lasts around 60 minutes. You’ll work on posture, balance, and core strength using a mix of classical and contemporary Pilates techniques. Classes are calm, focused, and energising, leaving you feeling refreshed and stronger.

Most Sculpt classes are open to everyone, but some sessions at Dorothy Hyman Leisure Centre and Hoyland Leisure Centre require a BPL membership. Community classes in Wombwell and Birdwell can be booked directly through Sally.
